Alexander Springs in the Ocala National Forest, FL

Discharging cool, clear freshwater at a rate of 107 cubic feet per second, Alexander Springs is one of the favorite destinations on the Florida Black Bear Scenic Byway, particularly during the warmer months when the springs become one of the region's favorite swimming holes. The springs are a major scuba site, as well as a stop on the Great FloridaBirding Trail. Camping, snorkeling, and canoeing on the seven mile Crystal River and spring ...this place is so cool.
